A more practical option for mosques from Leoline

3 August 2015

Leoline is introducing a semi-custom concept for mosques, welcoming the practicality of cushion flooring with the design requirements necessary for these religious buildings.

Available in a four-metre width in order to reduce seams in the large open spaces commonly found in mosques, the design features a wide stripe that gives a modern interpretation of traditional mosque carpets. Already proving popular in the Middle East, where its hygiene and cleanability advantages are favoured, the semi-custom concept is available from 1,000 linear metres and provides a solution to the unique demands of mosques:

“Mosques are well-known for a specific set of demands that has been traditionally met by carpet, but with our introduction of this concept, there is now a more practical and no less beautiful option in an elegant contemporary interpretation,” explains Victoria Hemelaer, product manager, Leoline. “Offering a Superguard PUR treatment for protection against scuffs and marks, the underfoot comfort afforded by cushion flooring, easy maintenance for better hygiene and a durability that sees up to Class 33 Heavy Commercial performance, it provides exceptional performance married to custom style and excellent value.”

The mosque concept can be specified in suitability from Light Commercial (Class 31) through to Very Heavy Commercial (Class 34) in accordance with the specifications required and budget available. In Silento specification, it is also available with 18dB of sound insulation, helping to minimise impact noise and transference between levels.
