Guardian Black barrier tiles are heavy-duty 50cm x 50cm entrance mat carpet tiles for heavy commercial use. The diagonal ribbed rough-textured surface has been specially designed to remove mud and dirt from feet leaving it trapped on the pile. These extra heavyweight tiles are ideal for entrances, doorways, foyers, and reception areas and can be laid in conjunction with ordinary carpet tiles eliminating the need for a separate mat well. The pile also helps to absorb moisture from boots and shoes reducing rainwater being carried onto the normal carpet tiles. They are manufactured from 100% stain resistant polypropylene making them extremely durable and long-lasting.

Maintenance
Carpet tiles are easy to keep clean - An effective vacuum cleaning programme is essential for the success of any carpet tile maintenance plan. Grit and dirt if not vacuumed thoroughly can become an abradant that could damage fibres, if left in the carpet to build up. In addition to removing soil vacuum cleaning also enhances the appearance of the product by lifting and restoring the pile. The use of proper equipment and techniques are critical to the success of any vacuum cleaning programme and heavy duty upright vacuums with a brushing action are recommended.
Sustainability
Besides the most obvious reason, the low price, polypropylene carpets are a great alternative to wool carpets as they combine softness, comfort, and style. Another leading advantage of this synthetic carpet is the lack of smell. Their structure is not porous, which means they won’t hold unpleasant smells.
To be honest, the other thing we always think about is stains but the polypropylene carpets are highly resistant to that. You don’t have to be worried that you might spill red wine or drop something dirty. Unlike natural fibres, polypropylene carpets stains are not a problem. This makes them perfect for offices with many people or for families with kids.
Polypropylene carpets are made in many beautiful colours, and different patterns. They can be stylish, simple, or with an appealing appearance. Great value when you consider the price point.
When compared to natural fibres, we must say they have the edge on one more thing as carpets made with natural fibres tend to conduct electricity and become static. With polypropylene, there is still a slight chance of static electricity but way less.
