Laminate claim refuted (22/06/11)

The manufacturer of a new wood fibre technology comprising a powdered mixture containing sawdust, binding agents and other additives, applied to a core and printed believes it will replace laminate flooring within 10 years. The claim has been dismissed by the Association of European producers of laminate flooring. It says that although the wood fibre may create a new product in its own right it could not be considered its equivalent, or complies with laminate flooring standard.
