The Benefits of Novilon Flooring

23 April 2014

There’s a lot of different types of vinyl flooring out there and available for use in both commercial and residential property. It means that choosing which particular brand will be most suitable for you can become quite difficult, and you’re likely to have to do at least a little bit of research before you make any decisions.

In a very basic sense, all vinyl flooring has very similar qualities. That is, it will be suitable for bathrooms and kitchens (as well as other spaces such as hallways). It is durable and water resistant. It can be fitted very easily and quickly, although requires a very flat and level underfloor layer as any lumps or bumps will show through the new floor. Some of the floorings are more durable than others, with cheaper options tending to show wear and tear more quickly than the higher quality versions.

Novilon flooring is a particular brand of vinyl, which is produced by Forbo. It’s a product which is intended to last, and so it is particularly hardwearing, and coating in a way that means scuffs and scratches are much less likely to show up.

There’s a whole range of Novilon flooring options which you can pick from, meaning that there is a design and a price point to suit almost everyone.

Viva: a contemporary look which is suitable for anywhere in the home, not just the kitchen. Wood finishes look great in living spaces and hallways in particular.

Viva fusion: a really up to date option. There are metallic tiles and modern woods to choose from, as well as textile effects.

Classic: affordable sophistication. Warm and modern looks, with everything from tiles to mini mosaics.

Bella: offers some really lovely soft looking flooring, with the comfort and reliability you’d expect from Novilon flooring.

Nova: is the icon collection. Available in both wood and tiles, you can achieve anything from a granite look to hardwood floors, all the while being sure that the warmth will still be present, and cleaning up spills and splashes will be no trouble at all. Perfect for any kitchen.

Futura: a modern and long lasting flooring option. The inspirational look of aluminium tiles and metallic woods with much less fuss, meaning that it’s much more practical than some other flooring options.

Many of the Novilon flooring options have a twenty year guarantee on them. It means that you know you’ll be buying a high quality product, and that you’re putting your money into a really worthwhile investment.

Another range of characteristics which makes this particular type of flooring are the way which they are put together.

Diamond Seal

Diamond Seal technology gives hardness and scratch resistance to all Novilon flooring, meaning that it is far more durable than other types of vinyl. You are far less likely to see unsightly scuffs marking up your new floor. It also gives the floor a natural and low gloss finish, which makes the wood and granite effects look particularly realistic.

Aqua Grip

Aqua Grip is a safety feature. Usually if you spilt a drink on a vinyl floor, you would expect the surface to become much more slippery. Aqua Grip ensures that grip isn’t significantly reduced, which means you’re much less likely to slip over before you’ve had a chance to dry the spill.

Novi Clean

This is a treatment which is used on the top surface of the flooring. It works alongside Diamond Seal to help prevent scuffs, while simultaneously making cleaning much easier. It means that you’re able to maintain flooring far more easily than you would if it was a different brand or the real material.
